Itinerary Overview
  • Day 1
    Arrive Marrakech

Met at Marrakech Menara (RAK). Transfer to a riad in the medina with a courtyard pool. Welcome dinner — early, family-friendly, briefed for children. The riad is chosen for child-suitability: pool, family rooms, no narrow first-floor balconies.

  • Day 2
    Marrakech medina — children's pace

Light medina walk in the morning with a guide who is known for working with children — Bahia Palace, Le Jardin Secret. Afternoon at the riad pool. Early dinner.

  • Day 3
    Atlas foothills family house

Drive to the Atlas foothills (about 1 hour 30 minutes). Family-run guesthouse with a swimming pool, a vegetable garden, and an outdoor table. Children meet the host's children. Easy walk through the village in the late afternoon.

  • Day 4
    Foothills — donkey day

Easy donkey trek through the valley with the host (about 2 hours, donkeys carry the small ones, adults walk alongside). Lunch at a streamside terrace. Afternoon at the pool.

  • Day 5
    Foothills to Essaouira

Drive west to Essaouira (about 3 hours 30 minutes). Settle in at a riad inside the medina with family rooms. Evening walk to the working port — the boats are popular with children, the gulls are a show.

  • Day 6
    Essaouira — beach and ramparts

Morning at the beach — kite-flying is a local tradition. Afternoon walking the ramparts — children love the cannons. Optional camel ride on the beach south of town.

  • Day 7
    Essaouira — thuya morning

Hands-on session at a thuya woodwork family — children make their own small box to take home. Afternoon free at the beach.

  • Day 8
    Essaouira — final beach day

Free day. Beach, ramparts, riad pool, hammam for adults. Final dinner.

  • Day 9
    Until you leave Essaouira

A morning in your own hand — a final walk on the ramparts, breakfast on the riad terrace, perhaps the hammam before checkout. The driver makes the airport transfer at a time chosen by the guests — to Marrakech Menara airport (RAK, about 2 hours 30 minutes) for the international flight.
