Itinerary Overview
  • Day 1
    Arrive Casablanca

    Met at Mohammed V (CMN). Transfer to the hotel. Hassan II Mosque visit in the late afternoon. Welcome dinner at a port-side restaurant.

  • Day 2
    Casablanca to El Jadida

    Drive south (about 1 hour 30 minutes) to El Jadida. The Portuguese cistern (UNESCO) walked with a regional guide. The medina, the working port.

  • Day 3
    El Jadida — slow day

    No fixed driving. Afternoon free.

  • Day 4
    El Jadida to Oualidia

    Short drive (about 1 hour 30 minutes) to Oualidia. Lunch at an oyster farm on the lagoon. Afternoon by the lagoon — calm water, flamingos in the right season, kayaks if wanted.

  • Day 5
    Oualidia — lagoon and beach

    Boat on the lagoon in the morning with a local fisherman. Beach walk in the afternoon. Free time.

  • Day 6
    Oualidia to Essaouira via Safi

    Drive south (about 3 hours 30 minutes via Safi). Safi has a strong pottery market, an hour at a working pottery cooperative is included if the household wants it. Late afternoon arrival in Essaouira; settle in at a medina riad. Evening walk to the port.

  • Day 7
    Essaouira — port early and walking tour

    Early morning at the working port (around 06:30). Walking tour of the medina with a local guide. Afternoon at a thuya workshop.

  • Day 8
    Essaouira — free day

    No fixed programme. Beach, ramparts, optional surf lesson, a hammam, a horse ride on the beach south of town.

  • Day 9
    Essaouira to Sidi Kaouki or Taghazout

    Drive south. Sidi Kaouki is about 30 minutes south of Essaouira and is the quieter option. Taghazout is the surf town and is about 3 hours 30 minutes south via Agadir. The choice is made at booking and built into the costing.

  • Day 10
    Final beach day

    No fixed driving. Beach, swimming where conditions allow, sunset over the Atlantic. Final dinner.

  • Day 11
    Until you leave Taghazout

    A final morning on the beach or at the surf house before the transfer to Agadir Al Massira airport (AGA, about 1 hour) for the international flight.
