  • For the walker who isn’t climbing
Itinerary Overview
  • Day 1
    Arrive Marrakech

Met at Marrakech Menara (RAK). Transfer to a riad in the medina. Welcome dinner. Briefing on the week — pacing, host families, walking shoes (light, not technical).

  • Day 2
    Marrakech to Aït Bouguemmaz

Drive to the Happy Valley (about 6 hours via Azilal — the road is narrow on the final approach). Lunch en route. Late afternoon arrival at the first family house in the upper valley near Tabant. Light walk to settle the legs.

  • Day 3
    Tabant valley walk

Easy first day (3–4 hours). Walk through the Tabant villages — terraced fields, walnut groves, small mosques. Lunch with the host family at the next house. Afternoon free.

  • Day 4
To Imelghas — the Wednesday souk

Walk to Imelghas (about 4 hours). If the day falls Wednesday, the regional souk is on; if not, the path goes through the village school and the bread oven instead. Lunch in town.

  • Day 5
Imelghas to Agouti via Sidi Moussa

Easy day (about 3 hours). The route passes the granary-shrine of Sidi Moussa on a granite hilltop — a 30-minute steep climb, optional but worth it for the view. Lunch at Agouti.

  • Day 6
    Agouti — free day

The middle rest. No fixed walking. Stay at the host family's house, walk locally, sit in the orchard, time with the family. Cooking together if the household is willing.

  • Day 7
Agouti back up the valley to Tabant

Walk back up the valley by a different path (about 4 hours) — the high path overlooking the river. Lunch on a high bend.

  • Day 8
    Final valley day

Easy walking (2–3 hours) — saying goodbye to the families on the route. Final lunch. Afternoon free. Farewell evening with the first host family.

  • Day 9
    Aït Bouguemmaz to Marrakech

Drive back to Marrakech (about 6 hours). Lunch en route. Late afternoon arrival. Hammam if requested.

  • Day 10
    Until you leave Marrakech

A morning in your own hand — a last walk through the medina or a quiet morning at the riad, perhaps the hammam before checkout. The driver makes the airport transfer at a time chosen by the guests — to Marrakech Menara airport (RAK, about 30 minutes) for the international flight.
